Workmen’s Compensation / Employer’s Liability Insurance

Employees are exposed to various work-related risks while performing their routine functions. Workmen’s Compensation Insurance is designed to protect the employer against their obligations under UAE labour law. This class of insurance is mandatory in most of the free zones.

In addition to the basic cover, the policy can be extended to include Employer’s Liability Extension to protect against claims made against the employer by the employees under Common Law or Shariah Law.

The coverage includes compensation for:

• Work-related accidental death, permanent total disability, permanent partial disability, temporary total disability
• 24 hours extension to cover non-work-related accidental death and permanent total disability
• Medical expenses for work-related accidental injuries
• Repatriation expenses for mortal remains
